Slimming belts

ARE YOU SURE?

A quick search of the internet will yield dozens, if not hundreds of advertisements for "slimming belts". Each of these wonder-widgets promises to lose you weight in it's own extraordinary way. Just strap it on, relax and watch your excess fat disappear as if by magic! It sounds too good to be true.

Sadly, as we all know, if something sounds too good to be true then it almost certainly is. And the fact is that we've never seen a "slimming belt" which we did not believe to be a complete waste of your time and money.

Now don't get us wrong here, we want your business and we want your money, but, call us old-fashioned if you like, we simply won't insult your intelligence with this kind of junk!

AN EXAMPLE!

By way of illustration, here's an example I came upon online while writing this page, on a site supposedly offering health/healing products. I quote:-

This kind of illiterate garbage makes my blood boil and there are hundreds of similar examples to be found all over the internet. Please, do yourself a favour: put your credit card away and go run round the garden for five minutes, or walk upstairs at the office instead of taking the lift. I promise you it will do you more good, and leave you $380 to spend on something useful!
